Renata Bonczar

Renata Bonczar is a Polish painter, draftsman, designer, exhibition author, and academic lecturer. Her artistic practice is associated with abstract expressionism and illusory abstraction. Her works are held in both public and private collections.
Education & Academic Background
She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in 1980 and later earned a Doctor of Arts degree from the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice in 2004. She studied under Adam Hoffmann, Professor Andrzej Pietscha, and Jerzy Duda-Gracz.
Based in Katowice, she has also received prestigious artistic scholarships, including support from the Dr. S. Van Zavrel Foundation in the Netherlands and the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art.
Exhibitions & Collections
Bonczar has presented her work in over eighty solo exhibitions and participated in hundreds of group shows in Poland and internationally. Her works have been exhibited in major cultural institutions, including museums and art centers in Poland and abroad.
Her paintings are included in prominent collections such as the National Museum in Kraków, the Silesian Museum, the Museum of the History of Katowice, and the Museum of Modern European Art in Spain, as well as numerous municipal, institutional, and private collections.
She is an active member of several professional art associations, including the Association of Polish Artists and Designers and other cultural organizations supporting contemporary art.
